Privacy Statement

This privacy statement explains how PW Displays collects and uses personal data when you visit pwdisplays.ie, ask us for a quote, place an order or sign up to our newsletter. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to run our business and serve you well.

2. What we collect and why

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
3. Cookies
We use cookies for website statistics (Jetpack Stats), for measuring our advertising (Google and Reddit) and for embedded YouTube videos. Non-essential cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Full details of each cookie are in our Cookie Policy.
4. Who we share your data with
We only share personal data where it is needed for the purposes above, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Google Workspace (business email and documents), Stripe (online card payments), our website hosting provider, Automattic (Jetpack statistics and MailPoet newsletters) and our accounting software provider.
- Suppliers and production partners, such as product suppliers, embroidery and print partners and couriers. They receive only what they need to make and deliver your order, for example your artwork and delivery address.
- Advertising and analytics partners (Google, Reddit), only where you have consented to their cookies.
- Our accountants, auditors and professional advisers, and public authorities such as the Revenue Commissioners where the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our providers (for example Google, Stripe, Automattic and Reddit) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
- Quotes, orders, invoices and related correspondence and artwork: a minimum of 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements and to handle any repeat orders or claims.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: as set out in our Cookie Policy.
- Website server logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them for security purposes.
7. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use your data, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it).
To use any of these rights, email info@pwdisplays.ie. We will reply within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).
8. Security
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to our systems is restricted to staff who need it, and our providers are bound to keep your data secure.
9. Children
Our website and services are aimed at businesses and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
10. Changes to this statement
We may update this statement from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
